Toyota Exhibits Concept Electric SUV, Similar to bZ4X

After launching the bZ4X, Toyota reintroduced the concept electric car, which is part of the follow-up product of the bZ series.

This concept electric car will likely be called the bZ5X because it has a design that is not much different from the bZ4X.

Reporting from Hotcars on Monday (December 26, 2022), this concept electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) has larger dimensions than its predecessor, the bZ4X. The size is almost like the Toyota Highlander.

bZ5X has a three-row configuration with a capacity of up to seven passengers. This gives the impression that the cabin is wider and has more legroom than the bZ4X.

The front view is not much different from the bZ4X, which still carries the "hammerhead" style or "hammerhead shark" with full LED headlamps with a distinctive design from the bZ family.

Then, at the stern, the rear glass is made a little more upright and not too sloping like the bZ4X. This makes the impression of a dashing SUV on a concept car even thicker.

Unfortunately, Toyota has yet to publish the interior of the electric SUV candidate. However, reportedly, this car will be equipped with a larger infotainment screen than that of the bZ4X.

Likewise, Toyota has not provided details about the powertrain that will be used. But this car will likely use a solid-state battery rather than lithium-ion, which is commonly used.

Not only that but this electric vehicle will reportedly be equipped with an all-wheel drive (AWD) drive system. However, this cannot be confirmed until the time of its official launch.

Toyota has been selling the bZ4X in Indonesia since early November, according to local media. This car is also Toyota's first pure electric vehicle in Indonesia.

His presence immediately received a positive response; this was evident from the number of bZ4X vehicle order letters (SPK), which had reached 1,300 units within one month.

Talking about price, the Toyota bZ4X in Indonesia is only offered in one variant, namely front-wheel drive (FWD), with a tag of IDR 1,190 billion.
